Inpatient Treatment for Children

The beauty of children lies in their playful demeanor and innocence. However, life’s challenges can affect our children in ways that cause stress or misbehavior.

The Kid’s Early Discovery Treatment Program at South Texas Health System Behavioral treats children ages 3–12 and focuses on early detection and intervention of behavioral health issues. In this treatment program, children learn ways of coping and parents learn to guide them.

Program Features:

  • Specialized program focus
  • Behavior management
  • Enhancement of interpersonal communication
  • Management of symptoms, such as ADHD, anger, depression, and poor impulse control
  • Recreational therapy
  • Comprehensive discharge planning
